Jesus calls us to be different.

If you fit in with society, if nobody questions you, if your not challenging yourself, or the latest doctrine, politically correct idea.

If your life does not stand out as different to your peers, or even more different to before you became christian, if you are not standing for something,unpopular to the noisy, scary, people, the rulers, the elite, those that place true value goods and chattels.

If you dont STAND OUT AS LIKE THIS.  to the point where others either despise or love you for it. If all the people who love making sure they are first, they have the big car, that they have the comfiest, nicest life possible.  If they aren’t questioning you, find you annoying,.

Then you are of this world, and not of the next. The holy spirit calls you and fills you and changes your life, and CHANGES who you are and saves you from yourself.

If your inside is changed then what comes out of you will change. We are told nothing going IN to the body can defile you only what comes OUT of it.

“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19″If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.…

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name” (1 Peter 4:12-16).

Timothy confirms this: “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Timothy 3:12).

Why does this happen? Its is because if you ACT in a way that Jesus would then you become an example to him. People don’t want to feel bad about themselves, or have selfish views challenged.

Selfishness hates challenge more than anything

This is made even worse if they cannot see a way to demean or undermine the source of this angst.

The pharisees knew that every time jesus called them a “hypocrite” he was right, every time he said their faith was to show off, and be admired, and laud it over lesser people to them.

He was right, so every time he undermined them, they were certain they were undermined. Because HE spoke the truth in their souls.

They thought if they could get rid of this person making them see themselves as they really were then the pain of seeing themselves would go away.

When we act in a way that christ asks us to, it does one of two things to people, Draws people to be like that, make them curious how he has made you change so obviously.

Or makes them dislike what they see in themselves and therefore make them hate you for showing them.

Here’s the thing if you give your safety, your protection to him and say I know this is what you want me to do, how you want me to be.

Then all the world can do is make noise.

Those of this world will make noise, those of his world,  However those called by him will see their future.
If you are accepted by all your peers, if all your views lack challenge to injustice, cruelty, callousness, self interest, selfishness, me first, lack of value to others who may take from them etc Then your not doing it right.

Ask him to change you
Be different.
