Parish Study day Closing Service

Thanks, and Acknowledgments

Prayer
In every age you have raised up holy men and women
to reflect the light of Christ and to teach us the way of holiness.
Thank you for the chance to learn from each other.
Help us hold on to the gifts and insights we have heard
Bringing us closer to you
In Jesus name
Amen

Romans 8 31 – 37 More Than Conquerors.

 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
    we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a]

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Restore us, Lord God of hosts.
Turn the light of your face to us and save us.
Will you not give us life again,
that your people may rejoice in you?
Show us your mercy, O Lord,
and grant us your salvation.
Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord.
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest

We say together
In darkness and in light,
in trouble and in joy,
help us, heavenly Father,
to trust your love,
to serve your purpose,
and to praise your name;

In Jesus name amen

Prayer

Father teach us to trust you even when we feel like we are alone
and that you might be asleep in the boat with storms raging all around us.
Awaken us to the treasures that can only be found in darkness.
Grant us the grace to follow you into the next place you have for me in this journey called life.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Gathering our prayers and praises into one,
let us pray with confidence as our Saviour has taught us

We say together
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory
for ever and ever.
Amen.

May the light of God surround us,
the presence of God enfold us,
and the power of God keep us safe from storms
today and always.
Amen

We say together
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all,
now and evermore. Amen.

Thanks Everyone
Stay safe
