What is “church” to me… If you are unkind, church wont fix it, Church is not related to faith, church is not the end game, faith is the end game. Bringing people to faith is evangelism, not bringing them to church.

If youe evangelism is not working, its possibly because what they think you want is for you to join your club, not to know Jesus.

Essentially CHURCH is not a way of avoiding kindness, being correct in the rites, is not a requirement of faith

I have a few odd relationship with church anyhow. I love it, I love being part of it I love preaching and leading. But it’s never the main thing and it’s never part of faith it’s part of community and service

My faith was real long before I came to church and it’s neither nourished nor neglected with or without it.

The rite is not faith and faith is not rite nor does it adequately deliver an expression of faith for me

Actually most the people I find I have a problem with confuse the responsibility for kindness with the responsibility of liturg. When I meet that I am more disappointed than when I encounter almost anything else. Christian’s should know the difference.

Only kindness and love are an adequate expression of faith and unkind people in the church make me sad.Project 58.7 and the pastors provide a place for faith in action. Church should never be the objective but the enabler and the catalyst for love.

My thinnest moments come with either of those two the pastors or project 58.7. The Eucharist rarely comes close.

However presiding and enabling others to come close in their way is a massive privilege. Whatever it takes to help someone e feel close to god is massively fulfilling.Because when speaking with a homeless person or finding someone’s shoe or leading a service or preaching t or evangelism it’s all the same thing.

Showing someone something of God is everything and inside or outside church matters not.Also I can’t imagine not being part of the body of the church.I just think church in some places has become the objective, almost replacing love and kindness.


If numbers is your endgame, if rite is more important than church being an expression of love both internall and externally. Somethings gone amiss

Jesus was most angry when the law was enforced without love, religious rite, without love is exactly that.
